A large glass opening with a diameter of 38.5 mm (the case diameter is 42 mm) makes the best possible use of the display area. Unlike most other wristwatches, the ARGOS has separate sections for hours and minutes, with the hands pointing to their own levels with individual scaling and numbers. The lengths and thicknesses of the lines on the minute scale are chosen to ensure that the wearer can see precisely which minute is indicated, whatever the viewing angle. The high contrast achieved by the dial additionally enhances readability in poor light conditions and for those with impaired sight. The case itself is just 9,8 mm thick and is made of stainless steel.
